Alberta Children’s Hospital
KADG were engaged early by Kasian Architecture in the development of one of Canada’s most advanced children’s hospitals. With a “designed by kids for kids” philosophy, the Calgary Health Region with the project design team, involved children early in the design process to create a one of a kind facility. The hospital’s playful, yet professional approach was carried through from the exterior to all interior signage elements. The site required an extensive exterior wayfinding signage program along with a unique identity application. A multi-story parkade incorporated the hospital signage theming with playful elements and a comprehensive wayfinding program.
